Open to workRemote or relocatingDar es Salaam, Tanzania
Machine learning engineer and software developer. I build end-to-end systems — the model, the backend that serves it, and the desktop or mobile app someone actually opens. Deployment decides the design: offline inference, safety boundaries drawn in the architecture, and modules that can be swapped without a rewrite.
01
Training, fine-tuning, and export — PyTorch and HuggingFace through to ONNX Runtime, so inference lands on the device instead of a server.
02
FastAPI services over PostgreSQL schemas that model the whole transaction lifecycle, with Celery keeping slow work off the request path.
03
Electron and TypeScript for cross-platform desktop, Flutter for Android — one build reaching the machine the user already owns.
04
Linux, nginx, TLS, and offline-first design. Shipping is part of the engineering, not a hand-off at the end of it.
// 01selected work
A teaching app that works against any model, an agent with hard limits on what it may touch, and an early-warning platform for public health. Each one shipped with the deployment constraint decided first.

I am available for work — machine learning, backend, or the stretch between the two. Tell me the constraint you are building against and I will tell you straight whether I am the right person for it.
